| Entire day was sunny and warm.
Had my first Strompapotomus Nap! Coming down some normal twisties, I was in an outside left-hand turn and got into gravel and ended up in a leafy ditch doing 15 mph. No damage except slight tweak in Jesse Bag frame. 4 riders behind me helped me out. |

| Keeping with the Silk Road theme, tonight’s lodging is in a historic “caravanserai or caravansary”. There were roadside inns (built like forts) where Silk Road travelers and caravans could rest and recover from a day’s journey. These were spaced every 10-15 miles. The Cinci Han was originally built in 1645. | ||

| It’s getting harder to find time to blog. We have many options to keep us busy besides riding the 11,000 miles from Germany to China. | ||

Dean – looks fantastic. Remember though: keep the rubber side DOWN!
Oh Boy, oh boy! What an awesome trip you are on. Some of the places you are stopping have been on my bucket list for quite a while. Thanks for posting and sharing your story. And, glad the nap didn’t cause any further damage!
Awesome…too funny – I was in Turkey last year and went to the show you went to, the balloon ride…GREAT time – keep on posting even though you are busy!!!!
Any lay down you can walk away from is a good one. Thank God you are able to continue! The pics are AMAZING (except for the one with your scooter on it’s side….lol…) Be safe!
Great Trip. Glad you & the bike are ok.
Ray
Awesome trip Dean… If you can’t blog, pics will do
Awesome Trip Dean. If you can’t blog pictures are just fine
Very cool stuff….especially the whirling dervish! Please keep the updates coming. Tom
Hey Unc — I also did the hot air balloon ride in Cappadoccia at sunrise. My favorite part was the game of chicken our balloon pilot played with the rock formations and nearby balloons. I hope your ride is still going great.
Enjoy seeing the progress of your trip & all the ancient sights. Glad you were not hurt in the bike crash. Be safe & enjoy!
