Enough talk, time to ride!

CURRENT LOCATION:  Upper right corner is my Delorme inReach Explorer satellite tracks provided by SPOTwalla.  When activated, it provides a real time track of my travels.  The tab “All-Star Motorcycle Circus & E” opens for more options.  “Adjustments” enables the viewer to select more days of the tracks.

The tracks are archived back to my arrival in Heidelberg, April 16.

Use the zoom slider on the left to open up the map to see our entire route. The two tabs in the upper right “Map/Satellite” switches the map illustration with satellite photos.

Kurt's Thailand license plate stumped the Turkey Customs officials. He was the last one out of customs.

There are a few more riders but I didn’t get their photos.  Sorry.

Departed hotel at 7AM for 7:30AM ferry

Kaz and Helge used the 1 hour ferry ride to prep us on our first ride day.

Bike went to front of cars.

Helge explaining "tracks" and how to follow.

We are riding to Bursa through Isnik.  Isnik’s original name was Nicaea.  It was here that the Council of Nicaea met in AD 787 to agree on the future direction of Christianity.

In Isnik we went to the church where the Council of Nicaea met.  Then walked to the Bazaar.  Many of the merchants were curious and wanted to take a photo with me.

Entire day was sunny and warm.

Council met here.

Isnik Bazaar

This boy followed me for awhile then asked me to take his picture.

Friendly merchants

Entire day was sunny and warm.  Bursa is a modern city and is still famous for it’s Silk Market.

New best friend!

Every thing is fresh.

More grain bulk displays.

When I said I was from America, everyone wanted a handshake!
