Welcome to Turkey!

I was moving at 6AM.  The little seaside village of Alexandroupoli was quiet … no traffic.  A quick fill-up at a Shell station 1.66/l, €27.92 and I was on the Greek 4-lane, divided autobahn in 15 minutes.  It’s ~75 km to the Turkey border.  No traffic what so ever.  I was elated … owned this autobahn and soon in Turkey!
From April 16 to my arrival in Istanbul, my roundabout ride totaled 2,660 miles.
I check-in, unpack, and by 3PM, I on the streets of Istanbul.

Apologies in advance if some of the mosques are misidentified.  I shot from all angles and might have some confusion.

I’m using Rick Steves’ ISTANBUL for my planning and looking for sites.

Greece/Turkey border. Shift change. We had to wait 30 minutes!
