| We are loaded and moving on to Slovenia. If we ride direct it’s a 4 hour ride. We are taking a long-cut and cross more passes. | |

| We rode down Plocken Pass. Several extreme 180-200 degree switchbacks. ~20 turns down a mountain face. The hairpin turns tunneled into the mountain and exited below the road above. | |

My riding pal takes us on a very remote pass that drops down to the Slovenia/Italy border. It is a single lane road with very tight hair-pin 180° switchbacks. Some of the turns were too tight to complete. In the middle of the turn the bikes had to stop, roll back then continue forward uphill. I’m guessing some places the slope was +20% grade! |

We have a clear days with rain forecasted later in the afternoon.
 This is the gate of the fort. The modern road now covers a huge tomb of soldiers. |

 This pass had cobble stone hair-pin turns! Very interesting riding, slippery as heck. |

 The roads are so treacherous, anything can happen...  You can't do anything in this National Park. Not even collect snails!  We spent the day crossing the alps from Slovenia and Italy and back.  This is a Russian memorial on the way to Passo Vrsic.
