Good to hear positive news from you guys. Maybe while home you can take the Wingabago and Feejer out for a short ride – just over Ortega Hwy should do it. The resulting banter on the Blog from that little ride will help to keep me entertained – I’m jonesing and don’t know if I can hold out until Jan 16 …. I may have to spring for Netflix (rent “Romancing the Stone”, maybe the original “Indiana Jones”) or just watch Lisa from Ice Road Truckers drive the insane mountain “roads” in India. That might fill in the entertainment void.

Best wishes to your Dad, Dean. Your break from the trip has given me a chance to catch up with your adventures so far. Really glad you haven’t let life’s pitfalls cancel the rest of the trip and look forward to when you get back.

Just to clear up a few things here and from personal emails:
1)I didn’t do anything mindboggling to get us home. We made plane reservations and found a place to store the bikes and it was a group effort.

2) I didn’t leave my husband at home to fend for himself at Christmas, really. Before Thanksgiving all the gifts were purchased, wrapped and mailed (if necessary). The day after Thanksgiving, the tree was up (thanks to my dear Aunt and sister), the cards mailed and the house completely decorated.

3) I unsubbed Alan this morning, still hoping to surprise him tomorrow but not holding out too much hope on that!

Thanks for all your comments. Dean called and said his dad is doing better so that’s the best we can ask for right now!
