I also have a motel that I have stayed in that never seemed that expensive to me (I believe under $100 IIRC). I cannot remember the name but it is a couple blocks off the main street. Guess you did not see the visitor center in Dawson for the Dempster Hwy. If you are planning on going to Inuvik - that will be a good resource. Of course it has been almost 8 years since I was there, maybe not there anymore. Keep truckin. Another big day and you will start to see civilization again!
